The Maud is a handmade traditional bed made exclusively by craftsmen at our factory in Cornwall. True to the original manufacturing principles used on Victorian beds the side rails use cast knuckle fixings to attach to the head and foot ends of the bed. Angle iron is also used across the head/foot ends of each bed. This gives a each bed an angle iron frame and the same inherent strength as an original Victorian bed. With each bed individually cast and individually numbered combined with the strengths of Victorian bed making process our beds will become heirlooms and antiques of the future.
When ordering a standard bed your bed will come with a high quality sprung slatted base for your mattress. if you require an upgrade to a sprung bed base please don't hesitate to give us a call.
When purchasing one of our Iron beds You will also need to specify your chosen colour. please view the colours on the additional product image that accompanies the bed. Please note the colour in the info box that appears when you place an order.
